Smtube (21.10+) with mpv (or other preferred video player) and yt-dlp is a tool to watch youtube videos resource-efficiently even on very old machines. Paelmoon officially dropped support for its Linux 32-bit browser at the end of 2020, although Steve Pusser's repo is still available for Debian 10+ and Ubuntu 18.04, but for those running older (e.g. with esm or elts) or other 32bit distros, it's not an option. Precomplied gcc-7 for Debian 9 i686 / Debian 8 i586 / Debian 7 i486 / Ubuntu 14.04 i686, the right package only just unpack and copy exactly under /opt as shown in the pictures. Gcc-7 is usually the minimum compiler required to build and run newer versions of programs on these older distros.
